Series 66

 

The Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66, is designed to qualify candidates as both investment adviser representatives and securities agents. The Series 66 exam tests candidates on subjects considered necessary to provide investment advice to clients and also effect securities transactions on their behalf.

Note: A Series 66 exam candidate must obtain Series 7 registration before applying to register with a state. A candidate may take either the Series 7 exam or the Series 66 exam first, but BOTH must be completed satisfactorily prior to registering with the state.

The Series 66 is a 2 1/2 hour, 100 multiple-choice question exam categorized as follows:
